Balloon Meeting at Tegernsee

Though I hadn't finished all of my exams either this year, we again went to the Balloon Meeting at Tegernsee, which over the years has become a fixed part of our event schedule.

Already on Friday, my father Werner was lucky enough to be able to fly together with pilot Michael Wimmer in the 'Rottaler Fruchtsaft' balloon. I myself stayed on the ground and tracked the balloon with car and trailer.

Apart from the 25 hot air balloons, there was also one gas balloon: Five members of the Balloon Club of Stuttgart had come to Tegernsee with their 'Stuttgarter Hofbräu' balloon.
The hydrogen was provided by the Linde company with a truck.

A beautiful sight from 2000 feet.

Light and shadow: Trees throw their shadows on a snowy field.

The landing and packing of the balloon was a bit difficult: We had to do all this in deep snow, and a nearby farmer helped us with his tractor to clear a path so that we could reach the balloon with the car and trailer.

Audience all around: Sometimes, you almost can't see the balloons...
Lots of interested people surrounded us when we put up our models on the shore promenade of Bad Wiessee.

Penguin, Cat and Peter Heinzel's Michelin Man also showed up on the shore promenade.

And we, ourselves, also had a lot of fun that weekend: In the festival tent, two bands and a comedian entertained us in the evenings, and yet another Bavarian specialty: Beer... :-)))

But as last year, the visit of this balloon meeting had no negative impact on my two exams on the following monday: With a 1.0 and a 1.3 rating, I completed my last two exams of my seventh term.
