12th Saxonia International Balloon Fiesta

Olaf Schneider called, and 30 model balloonists came, to take part in the
1st German Championship for Model Balloons, which was held in the course of the
12th Saxonia.
On Friday morning, all the model balloons met at the central station of Leipzig, to fly their balloons in the grand hall. |

The weather outside the hall unfortunately wasn't that good: On Saturday morning, no
outdoor flight was
possible - so we tried to do the competition flights for the model balloons inside the
central station.

But this was not so easy - for a competition flight with 30 model balloons, event the
central station of Leipzig is a bit too small, and we didn't have the time to fly
one after the other.
So, it was decided to let championship be championship and to fly just for fun. |
|
And fun we had! In the central station, on the launch field near Lake Silbersee or at
night at the hotel bar - everyone was in good humour, even without championship (or
just because of that?).
