Youth Camp of the Balloon Club of Stuttgart

Just as in the year before, the "new blood" of the Stuttgart balloonists met again in the old stone quarry in the Nördlinger Ries, to enjoy four days of ballooning and campfire romanticism. Although the month of May was quite wet that year, we had four days of sun and blue skies - the two hot air balloons we had brought along could take four flights each.

Matthias was lucky enough to be pilot on all of the flights, whilst Maria stayed on the ground and continued the long party tradition in our blue VW Sharan, which was again awarded "most popular car of the camp" ;-)

With so many balloon flights, a visit to the local swimming pool and sitting around the campfire, the model balloons didn't even show up this year, but given that diverting schedule, noone really missed them. Thanks a lot to the organisers for his perfect weekend!
