16th Dachstein Alpen-Trophy at Gosau

For the 15th time already, we were the guests of Gosau at the Dachstein Alpen-Trophy - and for the great jubilee, everything was just perfect.

Right after their arrival on Thursday, Matthias and Werner were able to do a first model balloon flight over Gosau. Matthias did his next flight on the next morning, staying in the air for over one hour. In the afternoon, Werner, Matthias, Peter and Luc went skiing and snowboarding.

On Saturday, they were joined by the other model balloon teams. So, Matthias and Basti did a long flight with their balloons 'D-MINI' and 'Ballooning'. In the afternoon, finally the big moment had come - Matthias launched his solar balloon for a sensational one hour free flight over the valley of Gosau - never before the balloon had been in the air for such a long time. Of course, these wonderful flights had to be celebrated at the opening dinner for the Dachstein Alpen-Trophy in the evening.

Also on Sunday, long flights were possible. Basti's Sheep and Matthias' Penguin were in the air for one hour, and in the afternoon, Matthias did another 45 minutes flight with his solar balloon.

This weekend truly couldn't have been any better! :-)
