1st Hohenlohe Kite Festival at Schwäbisch Hall

The Albflyer Kite Team from Heidenheim had invited lots of kite flyers to the first Hohenlohe Kite Festival, and they came - from all over Germany and even from Switzerland.

Before the kites were launched, the participants gathered for a group photo with their flying objects.

And there were really a lot of extravagant kites to see! The material costs of such a "toy" often exceed 300 Euros or more.

Kite flyers don't like calms - model balloonists do! :-)
So, our cat and penguin had the chance to rise several times during the kiteflying program of the "Albflyers".

It really looks magnificient when, suddenly, the sky is filled with lots of identical kites - the Albflyer Kite Team is famous for their mass takeoffs with bats and other kites.
